Hrubý Rohozec – life in the 18th century
The exposition that showed development in styles from the Renaissance up to Art Nouveau in the rooms of the stately home at Hrubý Rohozec in Liberec Region is gradually returning to the time when our grandmothers and great-grandmothers were young. Visitors can not only see grandiose rooms designed for entertainment and representative purposes, but also the baroque chapel of the Holy Trinity, the library with family picture gallery and a neo-Gothic dining room. They can also get a glimpse of the more private side of the life of the owners. Each of the guest rooms on the second floor tells a stor
y concerning the life of one of the members of the family, relatives, friends or their entourage. You can enter the realm of the youngest inhabitants of the stately home, to the the playroom and bedroom of the little counts and see into the neighbouring chamber used by their governess. The stately home is open all year round to groups that order tours in advance.
